Halo Arts, is a performing arts experience that aims to encourage individuals to use acting and storytelling to activate self-healing in the face of adversity.  Halo Arts facilitates an  Acting Class Experience for character development, and creative expression, original performances, and interactive online content. The goal of Halo Arts isn’t to create a celebrity, but to encourage you to be a star communicator and to let your halo shine brightly! Halo Arts currently facilitates acting class for DAMPE Elementary in Cincinnati,Ohio.

Meet Laila!

Founder of H.A.L.O Arts

Laila Hameen is a native of  Dayton, Ohio who discovered her love for acting at the age of 10, when she improvised the role of Frankenstein's monster at a school day camp.  For many years, Laila battled a public speaking phobia in elementary school, until she decided to face her fear and audition for a school musical. It was then that the passion for acting and creating characters was ignited. Laila holds a Bachelor of Arts in Radio and Television Media Performance and a Master of Arts in Communication from Northern Kentucky University.She has over 15 years of experience performing and working with students of all ages. She previously worked as a Touring Actor for the Childrens Theater of Cincinnati,She has acted in projects for David's Seeds, P&G, Kroger and more.Laila began working with children in 1998, as a Teacher Assistant for Marva Collins Preparatory School and went on to work directly with students in Cincinnati Public Schools as an Instructional Aid for  the Multiple Disability Unit.
